Lal Benitah is the executive assistant to the executive director of the Center for Advancing Opportunity (CAO). Born in Turkey, raised in Israel, Lal has a very diverse background. She graduated from the University in Israel, the Inter-Disciplinary Center Herzliya, in 2014 with a double major in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies. During her studies, she worked three years as an Administrative Assistant at the Student Union of the school. Before she moved to the United States in 2015, she worked as a Customer Care Representative in Israel, as well as a Media Buyer at

In the U.S., Lal first served as a Visa and Passport Specialist at the USAID’s Visa and Passport services. Since February 2017, she has been part of the CAO team. She is fluent in three languages; Turkish, English and Hebrew.

She is married and currently resides in Arlington, VA.
